The Artist's Process:

Andrea works out her design, transfers it to a linoleum block, and carves the block with gouges. To print, ink is rolled onto the block with a brayer. The block is carefully positioned, and then run through a hand-cranked press. Inevitably, there is variation in each hand-printed image.

About the Artist: 

Andrea's art is focused on things that make a place unique and hold meaning to the community. She attributes her interest in locale to living in a lot of different places throughout her childhood before settling in So Cal.
