About the Artist: 

Born and raised on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Susan Summit Cyr finds endless inspiration in the coastal landscapes of Southern California. Her work reflects a lifelong passion for the natural world—especially the ocean and the native plants that thrive along its edge. Working primarily with dyes on silk, she creates large-scale paintings that invite viewers to share in the beauty and vitality of her subjects. Susan works and teaches art classes at her SeaHorse Studio in Rancho Palos Verdes, where she continues to explore the luminous relationship between color, light, and nature.
